10 Albums in 10 Days. Day 8: Lindisfarne, Nicely Out Of Tune

There are some cracking songs on this album, each of which I could talk about for ages, however ‘Jackhammer Blues’ holds a funny memory for me. Several years ago, my Mum and I were home alone and having a little tipple, listening to some music. She’d been having Jive lessons and was showing me what she’d learned to the tune on Jackhammer Blues; we pushed all the furniture to the side and had a good go. Both being a little under the influence, I kept getting it wrong and falling over, knocking into each other and laughing heartily. At some point my Dad came home to find the living room in disarray and both of us tipsy and with the giggles. That’s a good day…
