The new official video for ‘Shelter From The Storm’ will be released on 1st July.

This video features Isobelle, who was the inspiration for this song. “I remember wondering what she would make of it when she was old enough to understand it..
It has now been played and performed at baby naming ceremonies and christenings on every continent. Parents and god-parents have bought the sheet music and performed it themselves and it has been very popular with new Mums. I’m thrilled that so many families relate to how I felt when Isobelle was born, it’s really very humbling.”

You can read more about Isobelle here on the blog.

You can buy the song on my iTunes store, or here at Bandcamp.

For all your god-parents and grand parents who have contacted me about singing this at your ceremonies,  Click here for your backing track. The chord chart is also available if you contact me.

Please leave your stories here on Isobelle’s thread diellemusic.com/shel/

I would love to show her what an inspiration she has been to people all around the world when she is older.

Shelter From The Storm (for Isobelle)

The first time your Mother heard you laughing
The first time your Daddy saw you cry
Open up your eyes and see the sunshine
We dreamed of all the things you’d every try

And we’ll do our best to shelter you from every storm
Wrap you up and keep you safe and warm
Show you all the love and strength and courage
That arrived the day that you were born

Each time a cloud becomes a castle
Each time you learn something new
Every time your soul is touched with wonder
Our hearts and souls will be touched too

And on those days when the sun won’t shine
We’ll be on our way, put your hand in mine

And we’ll do our best to shelter you from every storm
Wrap you up and keep you safe and warm
Show you all the love and strength and courage
That arrived the day that you were born
