Hello dear music pals.
This is one of my favourite Christmas songs and I have been meaning to do a version of my own for many years. Lyrics originally by an atheistic wine merchant and music written by a Jewish man, this song stirs emotions in everyone I’ve ever sung it to. I love my reworkings of traditional Christmas songs because it’s a opportunity to break down barriers in a way. Fundamentally, love, compassion and humanity is the common ground we can all stand on, regardless of religion, colour or creed. Perhaps you can see that.
