This song became known by my old band mates as ‘Arty-Farty’. In my rebellion again commercial viability, I just indulged in the sound-scape style of song, ignoring everything I know about hook writing, song structure and radio friendly formats. The day I wrote I this I was angry about the horrible situation I found myself in, disappointed and let down, yet determined it was not going to get me down. I would fight on, even if I had to do it alone, and then I would only have myself to blame, rather than being angry that someone had let me down or lied to me. It started as a vocal and piano piece, and I explored the moody space of this simple, short piece. .
