Firstly I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to the show on Saturday – we had a great time and were thrilled to hear so many of you did too!
We love the Station Theatre, it’s such a lovely venue, built out of the old station house when the railway used to go to Hayling (hence the name:)
Earlier in the day I met up with Gavin of the Chatting with Chuckles podcast, and we had a good gas about music and put the world to rights a bit. It was lovely to meet him, and I look forward to the podcast!
We had some special guests join us during the show. Five members of the Igloo Choir joined us on stage for ‘If She Believed In Heaven’ which was lovely. I also started new barbershop Octect with my Mum called ‘OriGinEight’ who joined us to sing John’s arrangement of ‘Only You’. Breaking all the barbershop rules, we all played ‘Up On The Roof’ all together which was great fun. A key characteristic of singing barbershop is that it’s completely unaccompanied, so I called this ‘barbershop singer-songwriter fusion’.
If you’re on Facebook you can listen to these two pieces here:-

🎵 Up On The Roof featuring The DiElle Trio and OriGinEight
Other than live shows we’re recording a new EP ‘Candlelight’ and booking our shows for next year.
I’m still enjoying our weekly ‘Beautiful Monday’ broadcast every week from the Facebook page. I’ve met some great people through doing it and really enjoy chatting with people about the various topics we chat about!
Other than that, I’m editing my book ‘The Stories Behind The Songs’ and preparing to send it out for peer review (eek!). I’ve never written a book before I’m very excited about the process! I’ve enjoyed telling the stories about all the people who’ve touched my life and influenced my music. I’m not sure how long it will take to finish it, or what else I’ll need to do, but I’m excited to learn.
I’m learning all the time 🙂
Sending love and sunflowers 🌻
