The Music Will Always Play

I was chatting tonight with some music buddies about the arts and I heard myself say “you’ll never stop it, people need it. Someone like me, you’ll never stop me from making music and sharing that with others”.

Our world may change a huge amount, the arts may experience tragic losses, and the landscape become unrecognisable.

But we will always rise again.

Taboos will be explored, creative energy sought across time & space, and kindred spirits found. You will never stop an artist from painting, a dancer from dancing, a poet from poeticising. Nothing will stop singers from harmonising and songwriters from making sense of the world in song. We will rise again, and whatever is possible is what you will find us doing.

Let the music play? Try and stop it. The music will always play. Long after this sorry episode is over, (and during) and you and I are gone from this world, there will be music, poetry and paintings. It’s an integral part of the human experience #jmho photo credit @jevon99
